Tanit
Tanit was the supreme spirit of Carthage — Lady of Carthage, Queen of the Stars, She Who Nourishes. A goddess of fertility and abundance, her nearly two-thousand-year reign lasted from the ninth century BCE through the Roman conquest. She was the deity of the moon, sexuality, fertility and war, and her symbols included the crescent moon, the sun disk and the palm tree — all embodying her association with nature, cycles and abundance. To this day, Tanit's powers are linked to dance, creativity and the wildness that Ibiza — where her worship runs deepest — became famous for. This hat is made in cacao Merino wool felt with a metallic bronze cow leather band and Tanit-engraved, fire-distressed crown — a hat named for the goddess who watched over those who dared to love, to dance and to live at full intensity. She would approve.
